ORGANIZATION: Repair The World Philadelphia

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 5 people are interested

Books Through Bars is an all-volunteer organization.

Volunteers range from students to retirees, hail from all parts of Philadelphia, its suburbs and even other states, and come from every walk of life. We’re a lively and eclectic group united for a single worthy cause.

Opportunities range from choosing and sending books to logging letters, driving, rustling up book donations, organizing our library, helping with office tasks, attending events, holding book drives and fundraisers, and much more.

We welcome all people and any skills you may have to offer, whether it’s for an evening or a longer commitment. Join us today!

Join us on Tuesday nights 7:30-9:30 PM or the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. You will read letters, choose books, and pack them for sending. Our walk-in sessions are 18 and over only.
