Description
Eagle’s Wing Free Clinic (EWFC) is located at 225 Eagle Lake Avenue in Mukwonago, WI. It is open three days per month and is staffed solely by volunteers. Services include acute and chronic disease management, nursing assessment, health education, blood pressure screening, referral and community resource information, limited pharmaceutical assistance, and limited laboratory and radiology services. Our free clinic serves all individuals who have no insurance or have insurance with high deductibles and high co-pays.
EWFC is the only free and charitable clinic located in the southern part of Waukesha County. A survey in 2015 showed that in Waukesha County, 2% of individuals did not have health insurance, 17% delayed medical care due to cost, and 8% could not afford to get the prescriptions they needed. The struggle to pay for healthcare does not only apply to people without insurance. EWFC provides people with a way to obtain healthcare they need, but cannot afford.
