Chicago hopes for kids provides educational support for children living in Chicago’s homeless shelters. it is our mission to provide our students with the resources and encouragement needed to succeed academically.
Volunteers will assist children grades K-5 with academic support as an after school mentor in small group setting (1-3 students).
Responsibilities include:
No teaching experience is necessary, but helping your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews with their homework is definitely a plus! You will assist with homework help, literacy support and reading activities.

Description
RSVP members may choose from a list of agencies in Chicago that have a signed agreement with the RSVP office. Volunteer assignments are made according to volunteers’ skills and interests and the needs of the stations.
Each volunteer position has different time requirements. RSVP strives to help you find opportunities that match your interest and scheduling needs. You will then work with your station supervisor to finalize your schedule. This will include time for orientation and training.
