Join the American Cancer Society in their fight against breast cancer! In preparation for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, we currently have the opportunity for volunteers to join the planning committee for the event who have:
- Knowledge and desire to advance the mission of the American Cancer Society
- Ability to make necessary time commitment to the position
- Strong leadership skills with ability and connections to recruit volunteers and work well with people
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Assertive and willing to leverage contacts in asking for sponsorships and donations, etc.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research education, advocacy and service. Our volunteers can perform a variety of tasks. They can assist with our Relay For Life planning committees located in their communities as well as assist in the local field office with various projects. We work hand-in-hand with cancer patients, their families, caregivers, friends and more as we assist them with the programs and information they need as they go through their cancer journey.
