About

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To support large scale Disaster Relief Operations by facilitating collaborative conversation between functional activities, ensuring service delivery plans are sound, as well as writing and distributing daily planning documents.

OPEN TIME DAYS
- Minimum, consecutive 14 day commitment during large scale disaster relief operations (12 hrs/day)
- During non disaster times, ability to train in online, classroom based and simulation settings

REQUIRED TRAINING
- One-on-one training with Planning Manager
- Disaster Cycle Services, An Overview (online course)
- Concept of Operations course (classroom based)
- Everyone's Welcome (online course)
- Collaborating Essentials (classroom based)
- FEMA ICS courses (Planning section)
- Cross train in all activity courses to learn Red Cross standards and procedures in Sheltering, Feeding, Bulk Distribution, Logistics, Staff Services, Casework, Disaster Assessment, etc.
