PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Staff Services provides the activities and services necessary to ensure the ability of Red Cross staff, including spontaneous volunteers, to meet the needs of the people and communities when disaster strikes. The Local Community Volunteers is responsible for the recruitment, placement, training, processing, assigning and recognition for all volunteers from within the affected area. Process Volunteers into and out of the disaster relief operation
OPEN TIME DAYS
* During a Disaster Relief Operation anywhere from 8-12 hours at the Volunteer Reception Center or Reception Center work site.
* Must be at location of Operation, no virtual work available.
REQUIRED TRAINING* Disaster Services: An Overview (3.5 hours, classroom)
* Disaster Workforce Administration: Profile Management
* Disaster Workforce Administration: Deployment
