PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Staff Services provides the activities and services necessary to ensure the ability of Red Cross staff, including spontaneous volunteers, to meet the needs of the people and communities when disaster strikes. The Local Community Volunteers is responsible for the recruitment, placement, training, processing, assigning and recognition for all volunteers from within the affected area. To ensure quality customer service to all spontaneous volunteers during a large scale disaster response operation.
OPEN TIME DAYS
* During a Disaster Relief Operation anywhere from 8-12 hours at the Volunteer Reception Center or Reception Center work site
REQUIRED TRAINING** Disaster Services: An Overview (3.5 hours, classroom)
*｠｠｠ Volunteer Management Training (VMS)｠
*｠｠｠ Mybackground.com check training (1 hour web-based)
