PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Staff Services provides the activities and services necessary to ensure the ability of Red Cross staff, including spontaneous volunteers, to meet the needs of the people and communities when disaster strikes. The Local Community Volunteers is responsible for the recruitment, placement, training, processing, assigning and recognition for all volunteers from within the affected area. The LCV supervisor will ensure an adequate number of employees and volunteers are obtained to assign and place volunteers in a timely manner using all available human resources during a disaster response operation
OPEN TIME DAYS
* During a Disaster Relief Operation anywhere from 8-12 hours at the Volunteer Reception Center or Reception Center work site.
REQUIRED TRAINING* Disaster Services: An Overview (3.5 hours, classroom)
* Disaster Frontline Supervision and Simulation (8 hours, classroom)
* Disaster Workforce Administration: Profile Management (1 hour webinar)
* Disaster Workforce Administration: Deployment (1 hour webinar)
* Disaster Workforce Administration: Initial Operations (1 hour webinar)
* Staff Services: Staff Requests (1 hour webinar)
* Staff Services: Operational Data Maintenance (1 hour webinar)
