PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Assist Red Cross in delivering its mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Local Responders serve on Disaster Action Teams (DAT) teams and can be trained to deploy nationally as well.
OPEN TIME DAYS
2-4 hours per month, usually runs on a shift-based schedule, where you can sign up to be \"on call\" and if a disaster happens while you're on call, you are the first to respond. Shifts vary based on your role/training.
