PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Disaster Health Services Team Members provide health-related assistance to individuals and families affected by local emergencies and disasters in the form of both direct assistance and referrals.
- Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview (online)
- Concept of Operations Overview (online)
- Health Services Fundamentals I (Online)
- Health Services Fundamentals II (Online)
- CAS 2.0 An Introduction (Online)
- CAS 2.0 Creating and Editing Cases (Online)
- CAS 2.0 Issuing Assistance (Online)
- Everyone is Welcome - Disability Integration (this is a new course and not available online yet)
- Shelter Fundamentals (online)
- Psychological First Aid (classroom training)
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
These classes must be completed within six months of placement. Until completion of these courses, position may be completed in a supervised Trainee capacity.
