PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Responsible for the intake, verification and delivery of emergency messages between service members and their families, and other services as needed. The Specialist provides emergency communications and casework services, including access to financial assistance, to members of the U.S. military and their families and to other eligible Red Cross clients.
OPEN TIME DAYS

- Successfully complete Red Cross New Volunteer Orientation and Background Check
- Specific SAF online casework, case management system training and training regarding practices, policies and procedures
- SAF Basic Training Webinars SAF Overview; Military 101; Family FollowUp
- Willingness to gain knowledge of military culture, diversity, and awareness (eLearning) and how to access community resources
