PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Regional Logistics Advisor provides guidance at the regional level for the coordinating, communicating with and developing of volunteers. In consultation with regional staff the Regional Logistics Advisor assists volunteer leaders and staff in planning, implementing and evaluating regional policies and practices for the designated group activity. The Regional Group Advisor serves as a subject matter expert and advisor to regional, chapter and community leadership, as well as staff in their designated group activity. This position is intended for steady state (blue sky) and not during a larger disaster response. The logistics activity is responsible for the support and coordination of the following for steady state activity and routine responses: - Transportation - Facilities - Supply/Procurement - Warehousing/Inventory
OPEN TIME DAYS
- Regular participation in regional disaster leadership meetings
- Regular participation in national conference calls related to group activity, if able
- Regular planning/support activities
Completed or working towards completion of subject matter training at supervisor level
