PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The American Red Cross launched the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign (HFPC) in October 2014, with the goal to reduce the rate of deaths and injuries due to home fires by 25 over 5 years. Its strategy includes participating in community coalitions that target neighborhoods at-risk for home fires; installs and tests smoke alarms; and provides fire safety and disaster preparedness education/planning. This position exists primarily to coordinate the documentation and reporting of Home Fire Campaign (Smoke Alarm program) service delivery data within the Minnesota Region. The HFC Data Management Coordinator assists in compiling accurate program data to inform team operations and to ensure accountability for donation-funded smoke alarms.
