PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Regional or Chapter AD provides guidance and coordination for coordinating, communicating with and developing of volunteers. In collaboration with employees, the AD assists volunteer leaders and staff in planning, implementing and evaluating regional policies and practices for the designated group activity. The AD serves as a subject matter expert and advisor to regional, chapter and community leadership, as well as employees in their designated group activity. This position is intended for steady state (blue sky) and not during a larger disaster response.The Assistant Director of Operations works directly with the regional leadership team to solve problems and provide resources and technical guidance to districts to support the delivery of direct services.
OPEN TIME DAYS
- Regular participation in regional disaster leadership meetings
- Regular participation in national conference calls related to group activity, if able
- Regular planning/support activities
Completed or working towards completion of subject matter training at supervisor level for Client Services and Mass Care
