ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Virginia Region

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To Support Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces Program

OPEN TIME DAYS

Special Events: Military specific holidays (Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, D-Day, etc.) and at other events throughout the year.

Casework: Volunteers will be on call to monitor incoming cases as determined by volunteer's availability

Clerical: 8-12 hours per month

REQUIRED TRAINING

The Red Cross will provide all relevant SAF training.

Casework Volunteers will complete 3 computer based training courses, conduct mock case interviews and receive training on the case management system
