PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to deliver services to clients who have been separated from family members in other countries due to armed conflict, migration, disasters, or other humanitarian emergencies. These services include delivery of Red Cross messages, responding to tracing inquiries, and information and referrals. Team members will also be responsible for supporting and developing outreach strategies to expand community awareness and resources, develop new contacts and volunteers and, effectively serving all clients and partners. Demonstrate commitment and understanding of the Fundamental Principals of the Red Cross international network.

OPEN TIME DAYS

International volunteers will be notified as needed. The amount of time required will fluctuate month to month and week to week and is solely dependent on the number of Restoring Family Links cases accepted by the region and identification of International Community partners.

Volunteer casework may be done from volunteers home.

REQUIRED TRAINING
American Red Cross New Employee and Volunteer Orientation
Restoring Family Links classroom course
On the job training & shadowing of experienced RFL caseworker
Locally developed orientation to casework procedures and resources
