PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To specifically focus on facility bound veterans in the community who have few visitors and are in danger of having their service (and/or their selves) forgotten. The volunteers may read to his or her veteran, assist with letter writing, opening mail, walking outdoors or simply reminiscing.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Once or twice a month.
All visitation volunteers will be registered American Red Cross volunteers, which requires a background check and are required to attend an orientation for the Veteran Visitation program, along with online Diversity Training.｠

How do we empower so many of our neighbors to respond to emergencies? By mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. We can't turn heartbreak into hope without your help!
