PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Within established Disaster policies and procedures, leads and executes production projects of Red Cross creative materials including photography/videography projects, writing projects and social media projects. May administrate projects by others, or participate in production of materials first hand.
OPEN TIME DAYS
10-20 hours/per week. Time commitment needs may increase during high profile events or large disasters (occurring locally or abroad).
Online Self-Paced Courses (take before first shift):
- New Employee and Volunteer Orientation (2 hrs)
- Introduction to Disaster Service (2 hrs)
- Disaster Public Affairs Overview (1 hr)

- Fulfilling our Mission Translating Your Compassion into Community Action (3.5 hrs)
- Fundamentals of Disaster Public Affairs: The Local Response ⦆(6.5 hrs) (as available)
