PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Assist Red Cross in delivering mission by alleviating human suffering caused by disasters. Schedule team members to ensure adequate Disaster Action Team Coverage. Ensure oncall members are available for response.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Commit to regular schedule (e.g. one week per month on rotation) as requested by Disaster Chair and/or Director
All team members are \"on-call\" 24/7 and allow for a declaration of \"not available\" at any time within reason.
REQUIRED TRAININGOrientation to the American Red Cross
• All training required of a DAT Member (required)
• Disaster Frontline Supervisor Course and Simulation (required)
• Collaborating Fundamentals (required)
• ERV: Ready, Set, Roll (required)
• Fundamentals of Disaster Public Affairs: The Local Response (recommended)
• Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command Liaison (recommended)
• FEMA IS-100/FEMA IS-200 (recommended)
