PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Assist Red Cross in delivering mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help prevent,, prepare for, and respond to emergencies
OPEN TIME DAYS
Can be on an availability and rotation schedule. DAT members respond 24 hours/day
- Orientation to the American Red Cross
- Disaster Services: An Overview (modules one and two)
- Disaster Action Team Fundamentals if this course is not available yet, take regional/chapter DAT training
- Client Casework Fundamentals if this course is not available yet, take Client Services: Providing Emergency Assistance and Client Assistance Cards: Caseworkers
- Disaster Assessment Fundamentals if this course is not available yet, take Disaster Assessment Basics
- Sheltering Fundamentals if this course is not available yet, take Shelter Operations and Shelter Simulation
- Feeding Fundamentals if this course is not available yet, take Basic Food Safety
