PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Disaster Action Team (DAT) Teams provide direct emergency relief services, including shelter, food, and clothing, to people who have been displaced by local emergencies or disasters. The Team Lead assumes the position of Incident Commander on scene and provides leadership to DAT Technicians and Trainees during a DAT response.
OPEN TIME DAYS
-Attend monthly Disaster Meetings
-Sign up for 3 Flex shifts per Week
REQUIRED TRAINING-DAT Team Leads must meet all training requirements of DAT Technicians. In addition:
- FEMA ICS-200: ICS for Single Resource and Initial Action Incidents (online)
- ERV: Ready, Set, Roll (workbook, video, and in-person training)
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications
