PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience. Engage with blood donors to promote blood donation and set the stage for a long-term commitment to regular blood donations. Depending on vacancies, help may be needed at the following locations: Washington DC blood services center at 2025 E Street NW and other mobile locations; Old Town Alexandria office at 123 Alfred Street, Alexandria VA and other Alexandria mobile locations; mobile and blood donor center locations in Fairfax and Montgomery Counties; mobile drives in Prince William, Prince George's, Arlington. Under special circumstances in DC and Old Town Alexandria, a volunteer may be reimbursed for parking costs.
OPEN TIME DAYS
This position is only for weekday/daytime blood drives. Volunteers are available at least twice a month for shift of 3-6 hours, ⦆for at least one year.⦆
One exception: Rockville donor center can place volunteers on Saturdays when they are open 7am until 2pm. All other evening and weekend positions are fine.
