PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Disaster Health Service worker is responsible for chapter preparedness activities, support to the disaster action team response, shelter operations, emergency aid stations, outreach activities, and casework and recovery planning during a disaster relief operation. Health service workers with a registered nurse (RN) or physician license are responsible for acting as chapter health reviewers and acting as Staff Wellness workers during a disaster relief operation.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Varies depending on local disaster events; minimum 6 hours per month
