PLACEMENT PURPOSE
A Donor Ambassador is a blood drive volunteer who provides assistance to blood donors and Blood Services Collection staff at collection sites through the roles of hospitality and reception. The Donor Ambassadors cannot engage in phlebotomy or preform or assist in any medical procedure. *Not available in Greenwich, CT*
OPEN TIME DAYS
Flexible.
- Length of typical Donor Center shift 4 hours
- Length of typical Blood Drive - 6 hours
This does not include travel time to and from drive.⦆
One blood drive shift per month is required to remain an active volunteer in good standing.REQUIRED TRAINING
- Orientation to the American Red Cross
- Disaster Services: An Overview (Online or classroom) This class is highly recommended but not required.
