Respond to Disasters: Disaster Action Team - Clark: Service Associate

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To serve on a Disaster Action Team as a worker on a DAT response to provide 24-hour immediate support and assistance to individuals and families who have been impacted by a home fire or other local disaster.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Three (3) shifts avialable: days, evenings and ｠weekends.
On-call at least two times a month with another team member.
Day shift , Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. The exact amount of hours of commitment varies as disaster events are unpredictable and often happen in waves (e.g. lots of calls one week then none for a couple of weeks.)
Evening shifts, Monday-Thursday (4:30pm - 8:30am the next business day).
Evening shift before a holiday will also include the entire holiday until the next business day. Calls may be received anytime throughout the evening and midnight hours. The exact amount of hours of commitment varies as disaster events are unpredictable and often happen in waves (e.g. lots of calls one week then none for a couple of weeks.)
Weekend shifts begin on Friday evening｠4:30 pm and｠include the entire weekend until Monday at 8:30am
Calls may be received at all hours throughout the weekend. The exact amount of hours of commitment varies as disaster events are unpredictable and often happen in waves (e.g. lots of calls one week then none for a couple of weeks.)
