PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The American Red Cross and many other non-profit agencies provide a wide variety of services to veterans at Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC) throughout the country. More specifically, our local Red Cross provides volunteers to make and distribute coffee and tea via a mobile coffee cart at the Salem V.A. Medical Center. This cooperative relationship is coordinated through the Red Cross’s Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) program and the Salem Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service (VAVS) office.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Services are provided Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 12 noon.
Lunch is provided free to all volunteers providing this service.⦆
Free parking is also available.
