About

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Disaster Health Services Team Members provide health-related assistance to individuals and families affected by local emergencies and disasters in the form of both direct assistance and referrals.

REQUIRED TRAINING
  • Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview (online)
  • Concept of Operations Overview (online)
  • Health Services Fundamentals I (Online)
  • Health Services Fundamentals II (Online)
  • CAS 2.0 An Introduction (Online)
  • CAS 2.0 Creating and Editing Cases (Online)
  • CAS 2.0 Issuing Assistance (Online)
  • Everyone is Welcome - Disability Integration (this is a new course and not available online yet)
    • Shelter Fundamentals (online)
    • Psychological First Aid (classroom training)
    • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

These classes must be completed within six months of placement. Until completion of these courses, position may be completed in a supervised  Trainee  capacity.
