PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Disaster Action Team (DAT) Technicians provide direct emergency relief services, including shelter, food, and clothing, to people who have been displaced by local emergencies or disasters.
OPEN TIME DAYS
-Attend monthly Disaster Meetings
-Sign up for 5 (12 hour) \"on-call\" DAT shifts per month
REQUIRED TRAINING- DAT Technicians must meet all training requirements of DAT Trainees. In addition:
- First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Disaster Assessment Basics
- Client Casework: Providing Emergency Assistance
- FEMA IS-100: Introduction to Incident Command System
- Proven mastery and success as a DAT Trainee
