Caring Hospice of Connecticut Craft and Baking volunteers help by providing patients with handmade items that bring them comfort and joy. Crafts and baked items can be completed by an individual or group, and are done off-site (not at office location). Best of all, we provide the supplies if needed.

Caring Hospice of Connecticut has patients in communities throughout Fairfield County, who reside in private homes, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. Individuals and groups share their crafting talents to make items such as blankets, lap robes, shawls and butterfly pillows for our patients. A pattern and instructions for a simple butterfly pillow can be provided. Bakers make birthday cakes and small goodies for patients who can still enjoy them.

Caring Hospice of Connecticut is a unique, holistic and cost effective service designed to meet the social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs of their patients and families as they face terminal illness. Your craft and baked items make a difference!

Mission Statement

Caring Hospice is a unique, holistic and cost effective service designed to meet the social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs of our patients and families as they face terminal illness. Our mission is to coordinate patient and family services while respecting their choices, values and beliefs.

Description

"Life is for living." Caring Hospice has been providing hospice services since 1997. We are passionate about our mission to bring comfort and relief into the lives of those who need it most. Our experience in dealing with end of life issues has molded our unique care approach. Because it is an approach, not a place, hospice care can be provided at home, at an assisted living facility, at a long term care setting, or at a hospital.
