About

Volunteers are critical to sustaining BiCi Co. programs.

We’re looking for people to share their passion for biking, mechanic skills, and sustainability with Hartford youth and BiCi Co.members.

DIY Member Hours - You don’t have to be a master mechanic to volunteer. You can shadow an experienced mechanic to build your skills. Soon you’ll be showing others how to change a tire and more! We also need help at the welcome desk, to check in visitors and members as they enter the workshop. Weekly hours, ongoing.

Teen Earn-a-Bike Volunteers - Volunteer mechanics (and mechanic trainees) are needed during the teen Earn-a-Bike Program. Teens meet twice a week, learn about bicycle topics, and leave the seven week program with a bicycle they tuned up themselves - with a lock, lights, and bicycle helmet. Starts March 2nd.

BIKELIFE-HARTFORD! Volunteers - Saturday, April 15th 2017 will take place due to the efforts of up to 60 volunteers. Annual event.

Contact the Shop Manager (bici_co@ctpf.org) to get more information about volunteering, or just stop by the shop at 97 Park Street during DIY Member Hours.
