We are looking for engaged board members to engage in planning and design, development and implementation of programs for our organization. Also to a ct as a partner with the Chief Executive in achieving the organization's mission. Provides leadership to the Board of Directors, who sets policy and to whom the Chief Executive is accountable. Attends chair meetings of the Board after developing the agenda with the Chief Executive. Encourages Board's role in strategic planning. Appoints the chairpersons of committees, in consultation with other Board members. Discusses issues confronting the organization with the Chief Executive. Helps guide and mediate Board actions with respect to organizational priorities and governance concerns. Plays a leading role in fundraising activities. Performs other responsibilities assigned by the Board.

Strive for Mindfulness is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to assisting economically disadvantaged youth see a brighter future by providing various educational resources to youth ages 14-18 in the Greater Cleveland area. Strive for Mindfulness’ aim is to offer a range of services including mentoring, tutoring and college preparatory resources to provide youth with a range of skills to contribute to their self efficiency. We are a resource for learning and self sufficiency using an innovative approach to achieve success and enhance self perception to lead to better decision making throughout life. Our goal is to assist in producing socially healthy, success-driven citizens to contribute to a productive community.
