About

We are seeking experienced social media volunteers for an exciting opportunity to assist an arts-focused non-profit doing work in the Pittsburgh, PA and Los Angeles, CA areas. Arts Out Loud is the ONLY LGBT arts organization that offers quality programming and scholarships for young people in the US, not sponsored by a school.

Our mission is to empower and educate LGBT young people pursuing a career in either film, theatre, dance, or music by awarding scholarships to the college/university of their choice. We bring the best and brightest from the entertainment industry to our 18-24-year-old students to guide and teach through a mentoring partnership as part of the award. We are passionate about connecting local students with acclaimed artists to inspire them to believe in themselves and to further their arts education and career.

You would assist us by:

  • Create graphics and text for daily/weekly tweets based on a content calendar that you may create or we provide.
  • Engage with community while building our following.

We're looking for volunteers with experience with Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook.

In return for the volunteer hours, the benefits to the volunteer may include a job reference letter from the CEO of Arts Out Loud, experience gained while volunteering on various projects, networking opportunities, and current resume entry.

Most importantly, you will be helping the organization work towards its mission.

You can find more information about us on our website: artsoutloud.org
