The importance of volunteers to hospice programs cannot be oeverstated. Without volunteers it would not be possible to provide the scope of services that are needed to enhance the quality of the lives of the patients and their families.
The goal of the volunteer is to enhance the quality of care delivered to the patient and family through the volunteer's support and assistance of the professional team members in appropriate ways.
