Our mission: The Veterans Legal Institute (VLI) provides free legal assistance to homeless, at risk, disabled and low income current and former service members - removing their legal barriers to foster self-sufficiency.
We are seeking a volunteer graphic designer to make flyers for events ranging from golf tournaments to pro bono legal clinics and more.
Location: Volunteer can work entirely from home.
Time commitment: We're open to both project-based volunteers who can, for example, create one flyer for us once a year, as well as longer-term volunteers willing to take on multiple projects.
Qualifications:
Good design skills, knowledge of basic principles of design
Ability to work independently
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

To provide pro bono legal assistance to homeless, at risk, disabled and low income current and former service members to eradicate barriers to housing, healthcare, education, and employment and foster self-sufficiency.
Description
Veterans Legal Institute provides free legal services to veterans that cannot afford access to justice. These services include, but are not limited to, complex veteran benefit appeals, discharge upgrades for those who are survivors of military sexual trauma or PTSD, consumer law, limited family law, estate planning for older adult and terminally ill veterans, landlord-tenant with the objective to keep veterans and their families safely housed, and more. The overall approach to Veterans Legal Institute is to remove any barriers to housing, healthcare, employment and education for veterans in need and empower them and their families into self sufficiency. While the organization is growing at a rapid rate, VLI is highly reliant on volunteers who truly fuel its heartbeat and champion our veterans in need.
