Open Door is excited to be launching our own Baby Box, a newborn starter kit for moms in need. The Baby Box is part of Open Door's solution to support our families living in poverty who are struggling with housing, food and now the pressure of a new baby. We will provide each of our prenatal patients with a Baby Box filled with some baby essentials, that can also serve as a bassinet. Open Door goes beyond the box with wrap-around health services and the support of a patient advocate to help guide our prenatal women with information, access to benefits, infomation abut nutrition and wellness and so much more. We will provide coupons for Wellness classes and our Nurturing Parenting program after baby is born.
So what does Open Door need? Help to assemble and fill the boxes. 32 boxes!
We are looking for 10 volunteers to come to Ossining Open Door on Monday, March 6th from 9:30am - 12pm.

For nearly 50 years, Open Door has developed a proven model of cost-effective, preventive care for patients that benefits entire communities. Open Door currently operates health centers in Ossining, Port Chester, Sleepy Hollow, Mount Kisco, Brewster, Mamaroneck, as well as eight School-Based Health Centers in the Ossining and Port Chester school districts, and a comprehensive dental facility in Saugerties.
