Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team. Volunteering at a hospice agency provides you a variety of opportunities. This includes:
- Support for Patients: visiting, reading, writing letters, interpreting for those who do not speak English, bringing in music, and supervising therapeutic visits with pets. Volunteers can also provide massage therapy and aroma therapy.
- Support for Family Members: allow family caregivers the opportunity to take care of necessary errands, exercise, or simply have some time alone
Volunteers can make a huge difference in the end stage of people's lives as well as their families.
Our hospice agency provides services from Contra Costa County to Santa Clara County. We also sometimes have opportunities for volunteers in San Francisco.

Every patient with a terminal illness has the right to live his/her final days, comfortably, to the fullest extent possible and to experience a dignified and peaceful passing. Hospice services are designed to remain at home or in a home like setting in the final stage of life.
We provide nursing, social work, and spiritual care to make this possible.
