Splash is a 5-day, fun-filled introduction to swimming and safety skills, designed primarily for kids. Participants will learn basics of water safety, swimming techniques, and rescue skills, while building character and
confidence!

Volunteers can sign up for as many hours/days as they choose. Each swim lesson lasts 45 minutes and start every 30 minutes.

AM Session: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Available Positions:

• Registration Desk - Welcome participants and check them in
• Swim Instructor Aide - Helps swim instructors in the water during lessons
• Pool Deck Attendant/Support - Directs participants to their instructor and location of lessons

Dress Code: YMCA Appropriate

Volunteers must enjoy kids and be able to communicate effectively with a diverse population. All YMCA volunteers must have the ability to act in accordance with the Y core values of Caring, Honestly, Respect and Responsibility.

Training and other requirements

· Must pass background and reference checks, and attend volunteer orientation & training prior to start date

· Must complete all Child Abuse Prevention Training's

· Must sign a Confidentiality Agreement

· Additional on-the-job training will be provided
