Communities in Schools of Tacoma is looking for volunteers to assist with Read Across America Day on March 2nd. Volunteers will be able to sign up ffor 15-minute increments within the following timeslots:
- 9:15-10:00 AM
- 10:00-10:45 AM
- 1:15-2:15 PM
Volunteers are allowed to volunteer for multiple slots. Currently, we are partnered with the following elementary schools:
- Arlington
- DeLong
- Fern Hill
- Lister
- Manitou
- McCarver
- Sheridan
- Sherman
- Stafford
- Whitman

Description
Communities In Schools is part of the 5th largest youth development organization in the country. We are the only ones proven to increase graduation rates AND decrease dropout rates.
We serve as the bridge between the student and the community, bringing in resources that help break down the barriers that students have to be successful in school.
