Volunteer with Birds
We have 250 beautiful, intelligent parrots that need your help!

Greyhaven Exotic Bird Society has rescued 500+ parrots from the World Parrot Refuge, and 130 of those parrots are now at a Mount Pleasant location waiting to be adopted. We are in need of volunteers to provide birds with necessities like food, water, and clean cages, as well as giving birds attention and love. No bird experience required!

Many of these highly intelligent parrots have deep physical and emotional scars from many years of living in sub-standard conditions without veterinary care, proper food, or even a safe place to sleep.

In working with the birds as a volunteer, you will be rewarded daily with evidence of their gradual physical and emotional improvement. We have escape artists, comedians, singers (even opera), and cuddle lovers among this group, so there is rarely a dull moment and lots of smiles and laughs to be had.

Requirements:

Minimum Age: 16 years old

Ability to do medium amounts of physical work (eg. Lots of walking to get birds their food/water; bending to reach cage bottoms for paper change)

Available Shifts (Flexible):

Morning: 9:30am - 2pm

Afternoon: 2pm - 6pm
