On Saturdays beginning March 18, NORDC Outdoors will re-open Open Fishing at Joe W. Brown Park. During Open Fishing, fishing equipment is available to be checked out and used at no cost between 10am and 2pm within the park. We are seeking volunteers willing to help with the checkout process, assist our participants of all ages who are new to fishing, an perform simple detangling and maintenance of fishing equipment.
No previous experience required; training is provided. Possession of a freshwater fishing license is preferred and can be obtained for $9.50 online or at your nearest outdoor supplier, including WalMart.
