The UDC College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) needs a few dedicated volunteers to help every Saturday morning from 8AM to 2PM at the Van Ness Farmers' Market, from May 20th to Nov 18th. Volunteers will work alongside CAUSES student interns to help set up and maintain the CAUSES booth, track the number of people who pass by, and manage Produce Plus ( https://doh.dc.gov/service/produce-plus-program).
Volunteering requires sitting outside and in the hot weather sometimes. Volunteers will need to attend a brief training in early May, prior to the May 20th start date of the market. For questions, please contact Dr. Xiaochu Hu ( xiaochu.hu@udc.edu) or (202)274-7126
