SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO JOIN THE COMMITTEE OF THE BRAND NEW SF CHAPTER

Welcome and thank you for your interest in donating your time as a volunteer executive comitttee member of the SF chapter to further Women In Comedy. Your time is so valuable to us and we appreciate you!

MISSION STATEMENT

So, what are we here to do? It is very important to us that you understand our Mission Statement to understand what we are here to accomplish:

"We believe in educating, empowering, and connecting powerful, ambitious, hilarious, and talented women in the comedy industry with resources that foster their professional development and advancement. Through our online and real-life community, we promote the creation of personal relationships, business relationships, and mentoring relationships in order to advance and increase women's voices, presence, and pay scale in the comedy industry."

Role: VP of SF Chapter for Women in Comedy

Description:

Currently, we are seeking well-connected, organized, and reliable volunteers to help our brand new SF Chapter. As the chapter grows you will help grow its network and facilitate live events in tandem with our Chicago hub. This role will transition into chapter president after one year. To ease the transition, for the entire year the current chapter president will mentor you and groom you for the role.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

1. Help execute 3 successful events in tandem with headquarters utilizing all Women In Comedy documents, timelines, and assignments.

2. Help Maintain a committee of 3 other diverse women to help with the execution of all events.

3. Oversee, manage, and execute duties assigned by the Chapter President.

Our volunteer base is building and expanding. We are excited to be in the launching phase of the organization and this will afford opportunities for dedicated volunteers to become volunteer department heads in the near future as the organization evolves and we identify the top areas of need in our community. For now, we are asking volunteer event coordinators to help us replicate and facilitate events in various cities. Our opportunities allow our volunteers to help remotely as well if they cannot physically be present.
