As a partner to the Board President and other board members, the Board Treasurer will assist in leading CCRF as it transitions into a newly independent 501(c)(3) organization. The Board Treasurer will manage the Board’s review of, and action related to, CCRF’s financial responsibilities so as to support the Foundation’s mission and needs.
Reports:
- Ensures that appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board
- Regularly reports to the Board on key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health
Cash Management and Investments:
- Ensures sound management and maximization of cash and investments
Audits:
- Selects and meets annually with the auditor in conjunction with the CCRF Executive Director, Financial Manager, and Finance and/or Audit Committees
Fundraising
- Evaluates direct response fundraising initiatives
- Evaluates electronic marketing initiatives
- Evaluates grant initiatives
- Provides fundraising contacts to outside funding sources
- Personally treats CCRF as a top philanthropic priority reflected in an annual financial gift
Administration
Board
- Presents the annual budget to the Board for approval
- Works closely with the Executive Director and Board President to ensure that appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board on a timely basis
- Reviews the annual audit and answers questions from the Board
- Reports to the Board President

General
- Maintains knowledge of the Foundation and personal commitment to CCRF’s goals and objectives
- Understands financial accounting for nonprofit organizations
- Develops CCRF’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; is informed of, and meets all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities

Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation assists children under the age of 18 and their families who are facing the hardships of a cancer diagnosis. The Foundation focuses on improving the mental, social and emotional well-being of these families while helping to minimize the devastation that cancer can cause. A national footprint allows the Foundation to make a difference in communities, large and small, providing a helping hand wherever needed.
