Youngzine is an online educational platform for children ages 8-15.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world by providing a platform for young people to learn, explore and discover their role as global citizens.
We are looking for a creative, dedicated volunteer to manage, maintain and expand our social media presence. This will include but not be limited to raising awareness for our organizations’ programs and growing its reader base. Apart from the hands-on work of maintaining our social media handles and promoting our organization, the Social Media Manager will also mentor a small group of social media interns. Typically our interns are high school volunteers who are adept at social media. Working collaboratively with our team, board and the interns, the manager will come up with a short-term and a long-term social media plan for our organization.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the work for this position can be entirely done virtually. However, the Social Media Manager is expected to be present on all operation related conference calls. This position will also need access to a personal laptop or computer and the ability to use Skype/Google Drive.
