This volunteer position is available at both John Cochran campus and Jefferson Barracks campus.
Ambassadors will be the face of customer service at (VASLHCS) VA St. Louis Health Care System). These customer service professionals can be easily spotted by their signature blue vests. Their sole mission is to ensure that STLHCS is able to provide excellent customer service to our Veteran patients. They are often the first and the last person a Veteran will see while visiting the St Louis Health Care System of Care.
Every Veteran should experience a warm hand off as they enter and exit our facility. VA Ambassadors are keys individuals to ensuring this happens consistently in all locations.
Due to COVID19 the following limitations/restrictions are mandated for all volunteers:
*All volunteers need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
* Face Masks are required when on any VA campus
* Physical distancing and environmental cleaning is everyone's responsibility
* Hand Hygiene will be practiced after every encounter
2 Shifts
- morning / 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- 11:00 AM to 03:00 AM

Description
The VA St. Louis Health Care System provides inpatient and ambulatory care in medicine, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, and rehabilitation, and many other subspecialty areas. It is a two-division facility that serves veterans and their families in east central Missouri and southwestern Illinois.
