Mentor

We believe that caring and capable adults can make a very important
difference in the lives of youth who have faced significant challenges.
Mentoring is a proven method and research shows that mentored youth
have favorable outcomes in several areas of life including educational
attainment, career exploration, and job placement attainment.
Mentors and mentees agree to meet 1-2 hours every other week, for 6 months
or longer. In their group or one on one meetings, mentors and youth develop their relationship and mentors help youth learn, engage, and achieve. The activities are selected together by the mentor based on common interests and youth goals.
