Visit patients at their place of residence whether a private residence or other facility where the patient is housed. Provide respite to a fulltime caregiver, oftentimes a family member. for an hour or two.

Depending on patient capability, volunteers may perform a number of tasks such as gardening, walking the patient, reading, playing games, feeding, socializing, listening to music, general care, providing companionship, etc. Most of all volunteers make the patient as comfortable and happy as possible in the latter stages of life.

Requirements & Commitment

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Two hours per week.
  • Physically capable to take care of patient when needed, but mostly to socialize.
