Toots for Books Read Rock Remedy Gala

Toots for Books is hosting it's annual Read Rock Remedy gala at the Eagles Landing Country Club March 9, 2017 at 7:00 pm. The purpose of this gala is to raise awareness of the mission of Toots for Books which is to decrease crime and poverty by increasing literacy and education. The gala will honor 5 of Toots for Books students who have overcome challenges in life to further their education. The students will be awarded scholarships at the gala to commemorate their outstanding performance in the face of adversity.

We are looking for volunteers with event planning experience to execute delegated roles for the gala. These roles include:

1. Entertainment committee- Responsible for communicating with the entertainment for the gala. Which entails making sure sound is set up, making sure all equipment is loaded in and out at allotted times.

2. Auction and prize committee- Responsible for labeling auction and prize items and set up of auction and prize items.

3. Decorating committee- Responsible for set up and break down of decorations.

4. Print and Promotions committee- Responsible for stuffing envelopes, mailing invitations, and social media posting.

5. Graphic Design committee- Responsible for designing flyers, and banners in proper format (*Photoshop proficient)

6. Hospitality and ticketing committee- Responsible for accepting tickets, registration, and greeting
