Volunteer SAG Drivers & Navigators Needed!

Looking for a new way to experience the BP MS 150? Take a front seat during ride weekend by volunteering as a SAG Driver/Navigator!

Overview: SAG Vehicles transport cyclists who are unable to ride to the next breakpoint.
Event Dates: April 29 - April 30, 2017 + Mandatory Trainings
Requirements:

  • Minimum commitment of 40 volunteer hours (which includes mandatory training, rental pickup Friday before the event and rental drop-off the Monday after the event, and SAG duties event weekend).
  • SAG volunteers must be able to work the entire weekend from 4:30am to close of the course each day.
  • SAG volunteers must pass a criminal background check and driver record screening per National MS Society guidelines.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Possess average visual acuity; the ability to drive a large 15-passenger van or box truck through tight rider and pedestrian areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, such as large bicycle.
  • It is important that SAG drivers practice patience and are able to handle high-pressure situations.

The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising cycling ride organized by The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America. In 2015, the event raised more than $20 million for multiple sclerosis research and programs.

Approximately 13,000 cyclists participate and fundraise i each year to help make the world free of multiple sclerosis. The funds raised support vital services, programs and MS research for affected by MS.
