The Eight is a grassroots organization that provide community-based wellness services programs and host events through strategic alliances with corporations and organizations. We promote "Wellness" by utilizing the 8 Dimensions of Wellness (Occupational, Physical, Social, Spiritual, Financial, Environmental, Intellectual, and Emotional), helping to create "Well" communities in which we live and can grow. We offer services to youth, women, people with "diverse-abilities and senior adults.
We are seeking to build a strong wellness advisory committee of professionals and enthusiasts to volunteer their time, knowledge and resources to The Eight. You will help in finding innovative ways to assist in delivering little to no cost services to include but not limit to:
- Wellness Certifications
- Health screenings
- Health and Activity Workshops
- CPR/First Aid training
- Earthquake preparedness training
- Immunizations for all ages.

Mission Statement
"Wellness--helping people improve their quality of life through the implementation of the 8 Dimensions of being-well; (Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Occupational, Physical, Social and Spiritual.) Our objectives are being met through the innovative and strategic placement of "Pop-Up" service clinics throughout the Inland Empire, by providing onsite access help to create a platform for Youth, Women and People with "diverse-abilities" and introduce whole-wellness options.
Description
THE EIGHT believes in a world in which ALL people are treated with respect and dignity, as well as valued and rewarded fairly for their skills, talents and labor. We also believe in the extraordinary power of the arts and technology as a unifying language of communication and a vehicle of integration for organic learning and creative entrepreneurship.
We partner with community stakeholders and virtual wellness enthusiasts in order to connect Life changing Opportunities and People in Need.
THE EIGHT logo reflects the 8 dimensions of Wellness as a wheel. The wellness wheel shows how the dimensions work together. Like a bike wheel, if all of the spokes or dimensions are functioning at optimal levels, the wheel rolls along smoothly. If however, one of the spokes or dimensions becomes weak or if the tire loses air, the wheel will run off course.
THE EIGHT programs/aspects and activities are part of the whole--they are integrated, creative efforts that put forth a cohesive, community effort that not only educate and fights poverty but obesity and disease as well. THE EIGHT is a "Wellness Hub"--it is multi-dimensional and holistic, encompassing occupational, intellectual, social, financial, physical, emotional, the environment and spiritual well-being.
